PROGRAM GOALS

This program is designed for  prescribers who work with people who use drugs. The program will help healthcare workers work with community providers.

Addictions Medicine and Psychosocial Interventions

Location: Zoom Videoconferencing

When: Wednesday Afternoons (Weekly)

Time: 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM EST

Length: 6 weeks

  1.  OUD in the Patient Setting – Common Conumdrums.
  2. Withdrawal Management (Alcohol Gaba Benzos).
  3. Managing Stimulant Use Disorder and Psychosis.
  4. Opioid Withdrawal/OAT Starts in Hospital/Opioids + BNZ.
  5. Concurrent Disorders, MHA.
  6. Transitions (discharge, advocacy, ER visit, safer supply, OAT, intensive case management) + What’s Next: Harm Reduction and Emerging Strategies.

Welcome, Introduction, and Announcements – 10 minutes

Didactic Presentation – 25 minutes

Case Discussion – 45 minutes

Addressing Outstanding Questions and Session Wrap-Up – 2 minutes
