PROGRAM GOALS

We are excited to bring to you, Brain Health-IDD. The Brain Health-IDD ECHO aims to help health and social service providers build capacity to promote brain health and healthy aging in adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) that they support.

 

The Brain Health-IDD ECHO is part of a larger research study that also offers separate virtual courses on brain health and aging for adults with IDD and their family caregivers.

Location: Zoom Videoconferencing

Time: 11:30AM to 1:00PM EST

Length: 6 Sessions 

When: Fridays (Weekly)

Target Audience: Health and social service providers working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities aged 40 years and older

 Registration is Now Open for Brain Health IDD which will begin on Friday, May 9th, 2025!

This ECHO program is conducting a study that delivers and evaluates an ECHO program intended for Social and Health Service Providers across Canada caring for clients with a developmental disability who are 40 years of age or older.

SESSION STRUCTURE

Welcome, Introduction, Announcements and Land Acknowledgement – 10 minutes

Didactic Presentation – 30 minutes

Case Discussion – 45 minutes

Addressing Outstanding Questions and Session Wrap-Up – 5 minutes

WHAT'S THE COMMITMENT?

Attend 60% of program sessions

Present an anonymized case

Participate in group discussions

Provide feedback through evaluation activities
